Why we built a hotel around an ark
The story behind Hotel Arrch's name, and how refuge, unity and exclusivity became a physical language of arcs.

Before it became a name, the Arrch was an idea: that a hotel could offer the emotional certainty of refuge without turning away from the energy of its city.

A symbol becomes a structure
The Ark gave us three ideas to build around—refuge, unity and exclusivity. Rather than illustrate them literally, we translated them into thresholds, protected courtyards and rooms that feel held by their architecture.

The curve as a wayfinder
Across the hotel, arches mark moments of transition. Passing beneath one should feel like leaving one rhythm and entering another: street to sanctuary, corridor to room, afternoon to evening.
